Honduras Mission Trip
Medical Mission Trip
2005 Team
Since 2002, members of our team have been traveling to the rural mountains of Honduras to treat the local people at a free clinic through a program known as Cape Cares. This organization, based out of Cape Cod, originated in the late 1990s and now sends teams to several locations throughout Honduras, multiple times a year. Sacha was the first member of our team to go on the
mission and describes the experience as nothing less than life changing. This is an environment where the practitioners truly feel that they have a gift to offer and are able to leave with a new and revitalized sense of meaning for their work.

As time has passed more and more of us have become involved in the trips and has turned into an annual event for our office and staff. We have now had a total of eight people from our office attend one or more missions and additionally, Dr. Laliberte was honored as the team leader and

coordinator in 2006. Each year we gather supplies and raise funds to help support this cause.

Every trip has been uniquely memorable and has become a tradition that we intend to continue. We enjoy talking about the experience so we invite you to admire the photo albums in the waiting room and ask questions.

Intra-Oral Photography

As part of our treatment planning and initial patient evaluations we have begun to incorporate intra-oral photography (pictures in the mouth). When studying cases it proves to be a helpful tool in making proper diagnoses. These photos are also an exact

record of the appearance of ones mouth that can be a baseline to assess changes that may occur over time with teeth and tissues. Also, to improve upon the results of many of our cases we have found the need to provide lab technicians and cooperating dentists with necessary photographs. Continuing Education

As part of our office philosophy and mission statement we have committed ourselves to continuing education so that we may be able to offer our patients the highest level of treatment. The following is what we are currently involved in so that we can hold to that promise.

Misch International Implant Institute

Dr. Wietecha, like Dr. Laliberte has opted to under go advanced training in Oral Implantology as the Misch International Implant Institute.
